Job summary

Granite School District in Salt Lake City seeks a dependable Preschool Substitute to support 3- to 5-year-olds under leadership. The role requires reliable attendance, basic tech use, and collaboration with teachers and staff.

You will assist with daily lesson plans, supervise students, and follow EPS guidelines; requires high school diploma, Utah Food Handler permit, and possibly CPR. Hours are 29 per week, with hourly compensation and local benefits.

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Food Handler permit from a Utah Department of Health approved entity or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hire.
May require a current CPR certification depending on assigned duties.

Responsibilities

Has basic computer skills to create newsletters, calendars, check email, complete online surveys, and trainings.
Attends and implements all monthly required Professional Development training.
Collaborates and shares responsibilities with all team members.
Attends monthly team meetings.
Provides supervision in all activities and settings.
Gives specific, immediate, and frequent positive reinforcement (at least 4:1).
Assists in personal management needs of students as needed (feeding, dressing, toileting, grooming, lifting).
