Job summary

Acelero Learning is hiring for an Early Childhood Educator in Philadelphia. You will follow the curriculum and implement learning experiences to enhance literacy, numeracy, language use, and problem solving while maintaining a safe, supportive classroom environment.

You will support social and emotional development using positive guidance, interact with children warmly, and involve families in Head Start activities. Collaboration with other teachers and center staff is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Follows the curriculum as scheduled during the time of coverage.
• Plans and implements learning experiences to advance children's literacy, numeracy, language and problem-solving abilities.
• Maintains a safe, healthy learning environment and appropriate adult-child ratio.
• Supports social and emotional development using positive guidance approaches.
• Interacts with children in a supportive manner.
• Encourages involvement of families in the Head Start program.
• Collaborates with other teachers and center staff.
• Follows center health, safety, nutrition policies and procedures.
• Attends meetings, events and training as required.
