Job summary

CDS (Child Development Services) seeks an Itinerant Preschool Speech-Language Pathologist for its Two Rivers site in Brewer. This 40-hour-per-week, academic-year role includes evaluating and treating children aged 3–5, providing tele-therapy, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

The SLP will travel to multiple locations, complete required assessments, and participate in the IFSP/IEP processes to ensure IDEA-compliant services. Licensure and background checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• State of Maine Speech Therapist License is required if billing MaineCare.
• Maine Department of Education Certification 293 is acceptable for non-MaineCare billing.
• Successful background, criminal records, fingerprinting and reference check are required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide speech and language services to children birth through age five.
• Perform speech and language evaluations and deliver direct services and tele-therapy.
• Consult with classroom and program teachers and work with a multidisciplinary team.
• Travel to a variety of locations to deliver services and support families.
