Job summary

CDS First Step in Lewiston, ME seeks itinerant preschool Speech-Language Pathologists for 40-hour calendar-year roles. The SLP will evaluate children ages 3–5, provide direct and tele-therapy services, and consult with teachers as part of a multidisciplinary team. Travel to Lewiston-area sites is required.

Qualified candidates hold a Maine SLP license and Certification 293; background checks are required. Roles support children birth–5 under IDEA 2004 with related services as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology required or equivalent.
• Licensed as a Maine SLP and certified for MaineCare billing where applicable.
• Ability to travel to multiple Lewiston-area sites and work with a team.
• Background checks and fingerprinting completed per CDS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations for children age 3–5.
• Provide direct services and tele-therapy to identified delays.
• Consult with classroom/program teachers and multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with CDS team to implement IFSP/IEP goals.
• Travel to various locations to deliver services.
