Job summary

Newmeadow Inc. is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive services for preschool students in both integrated and self-contained classrooms in Clifton Park, NY.

The role requires NYS SLP licensure, TSSLD/THSS teaching certification, and ASHA certification. CF candidates considered; strong collaboration with teachers and therapists is essential to support individualized education programs.

Qualifications

• NYS Teacher Certification – TSSLD or THSS is required.
• NYS SLP License is required.
• ASHA Certification/Membership is required.
• Experience with preschool population is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language services to preschool students in integrated and self-contained classrooms.
• Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to support a cohesive educational program.
• Plan and implement speech and language activities based on each student's IEP and monitor progress.
• Document and report student progress and provide IEP updates throughout the year.
• Participate in IEP meetings and communicate with the educational team about student needs and progress.
• Support classroom activities and instructional strategies that promote student communication and participation.
• Ensure compliance with NYS standards, regulations, and program requirements.
• Communicate effectively with staff and families about student progress and needs.
