Job summary

Maricopa Unified School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher for Preschool to provide high-quality, inclusive instruction and to foster early learning in a dynamic elementary setting.

You will design individualized lesson plans, deliver core subjects, use varied instructional strategies, assess progress, maintain records, collaborate with families and staff, and participate in professional development to support student success.

Qualifications

• Arizona certification/endorsement required for assignment.
• DPS IVP fingerprint clearance card required.
• Experience in early education or preschool setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach core subjects using district-approved curriculum and activities.
• Develop lesson plans and provide individualized and small-group instruction.
• Use diverse instructional strategies to meet student needs.
• Assess academic and social growth and maintain progress records.
• Communicate with parents to discuss pupil progress and the school program.
• Collaborate with staff to support health, attitude and learning goals.
• Administer group standardized tests and participate in curriculum development.
