Job summary

Qualifications

• Assists teacher with planning, preparation, and distribution of classroom materials.
• Provides individualized and small-group instruction to reinforce skills already taught by the teacher.
• Maintains a neat, safe, and orderly classroom environment.
• Participates in bus duty, hall monitoring, lunchroom duty, and playground duty.

Responsibilities

• Assists teacher with planning, preparation, and distribution of classroom materials.
• Conducts learning games with students according to established procedures.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with state laws and policies.
• Assists with supervision and instruction of children; copies, cuts, colors, and builds teaching materials.
• Provides individualized and small-group instruction to reinforce skills taught by the teacher.
• Attends in-services and workshops as directed.
• Supervises students in various school locations including classrooms, cafeteria, and buses.
• Maintains confidentiality and integrity in all duties.
