Job summary

Soccer Shots Franchising is seeking a passionate part-time soccer coach for preschool and young elementary aged children in the Portland area. You will run engaging sessions, implement Soccer Shots curriculum, and foster a safe, inclusive environment that emphasizes character development and a love of the game.

Responsibilities include class delivery for ages 2–8, equipment setup, and active communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool age children.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation.
• State-required background clearances.
• Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills.
• Energetic, engaging, and safety conscious.
• Adaptable to ages 2–8.

Responsibilities

• Lead soccer classes for children aged 2–8.
• Set up and take down equipment for each class.
• Promote character development through positive reinforcement.
• Attend seasonal trainings and refreshers at the clubhouse.
• Follow safety and attendance protocols on site.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, families, and teachers.
• Transport yourself and equipment to class locations.

The Job:

• Bring “Soccer Island” alive with your enthusiasm and creativity.
• Conduct soccer classes for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set-up and take-down.

• Attend seasonal training sessions and mid-season refreshers at our clubhouse.
• Utilize expert-created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Follow all on-site safety and attendance protocols.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, families, and teachers.
• Transport self and equipment to class location, setup and tear down field
