Soccer Shots Central Iowa is seeking a passionate part-time soccer coach to work with children ages 2–8. Coaches lead age-appropriate sessions, set up fields, and model positive behavior in a fun, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for children and sports; no prior coaching required.
• Energetic, engaging, and responsible demeanor.
• Safety-conscious with a focus on kid-friendly activities.
• Ability to adapt coaching to ages 2–8.
• Access to reliable transportation to sessions.
• Must be 18 years or older and obtain state clearances.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct soccer sessions for children aged 2–8.
• Handle field setup and takedown; maintain equipment and safety.
• Promote character development through positive reinforcement.
• Deliver Soccer Shots curriculum in every session.
• Create a safe, inclusive, fun learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with families and teachers; follow safety protocols.

Available Shift Times / Flexible Schedule (Pick what works for you!)

• Mondays through Fridays: mornings 9am-11am, afternoons 2pm-5pm
• Saturdays: mornings 9am-12pm
• $18/session (36/hour) with potential to increase
• Note - Priority will be shown to coaches with morning availability to match current seasonal staffing needs

The Job

Bring “Soccer Island” alive with your enthusiasm and creativity.

Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set‑up and take‑down.

Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling.

Utilize expert‑created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session.

Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.

Follow all on‑site safety and attendance protocols.

Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and teachers.

Qualifications

• No prior sports/coaching experience required.
• Genuine passion for children and sports.

• Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills.
• Coaches must have or obtain state‑required clearances.
