Job summary

Soccer Shots Portland is seeking a passionate part-time soccer coach for children aged 2 to 8 in the Portland area. You’ll lead safe, developmentally appropriate classes and bring the Soccer Island experience to life with energy and creativity.

You’ll train with our curriculum, attend seasonal sessions, and help foster confidence and teamwork in every session. A driver’s license and reliable transportation are required, and background checks will be completed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool age children.
• Energetic, engaging, and safety conscious.
• Ability to stand, jog, and model children’s soccer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead classes for ages 2–8 and handle setup/teardown.
• Deliver curriculum with enthusiasm and positive coaching.
• Ensure safety and inclusivity during sessions.
• Communicate with supervisor and families.
• Transport equipment to class location.

The Job:

• Bring “Soccer Island” alive with your enthusiasm and creativity.
• Conduct soccer classes for children 2 to 8 years old, including field set‑up and take‑down.
• Encourage character development through positive reinforcement and modeling.
• Attend seasonal training sessions and mid‑season refreshers at our clubhouse.
• Utilize expert‑created Soccer Shots’ curriculum and early childhood development teaching techniques in every session.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Follow all on‑site safety and attendance protocols.
• Communicate effectively with supervisor, families, and teachers.
• Transport self and equipment to class location, setup and tear down field
