Job summary

ADAPT Community Network seeks a Preschool School Psychologist for our Bronx Children's Program. This full-time, 12-month position runs Monday–Friday, 8am–3pm, focusing on evaluation, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention for children with developmental disabilities.

The role requires a Master’s in Psychology and NYSED School Psychologist Certification, with experience in developmental disabilities. The program emphasizes collaborative, interdisciplinary care and ongoing progress monitoring.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Psychology is required.
• NYSED School Psychologist Certification required.
• Experience with developmentally disabled populations preferred (1+ year).

Responsibilities

• Provides annual psychological assessment in intelligence and adaptive behavior.
• Develops treatment plans and goals from assessments.
• Provides services as prescribed by treatment plans (behavior management, counseling, crisis intervention).
• Integrates therapeutic techniques with family and staff during meetings and case conferences.
• Records progress and monitors treatment status for active cases.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and annual reviews.
