Job summary

Minnetonka Public Schools’ Minnetonka Community Education seeks a Junior Explorers Program Leader to guide a preschool program for children aged 3 to 5. You will supervise and mentor Program Assistants and Aides, create engaging activities, and maintain a safe, happy learning space at our MCEC site.

You’ll work Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM–5:30 PM (35 hours/week) with a start date as soon as possible for the 2026–2027 school year, open until filled.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or related experience as an alternative.
• Experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must meet punctuality, responsibility, and confidentiality expectations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children and guide activities; direct program staff.
• Create developmentally appropriate and engaging activities.
• Ensure safety and maintain attendance records in Eleyo.
• Support safety during programming and field trips.
• Build positive relationships with parents.
• Attend monthly staff meetings.
