Job summary

Livermore Area Recreation & Park District is seeking a Part-time Pre School Coordinator to plan and supervise preschool programs with a strong emphasis on safety and curriculum quality. The role will lead a small team, coordinate enrollment, and work closely with the Youth Services division to align programs with district goals.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or 24 units in Early Childhood Education, plus two years in a supervisory role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or 24 units in Early Childhood Education.
• Two years of lead and/or supervisory experience in a childcare program with related coursework completed.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications completed within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement preschool curriculum in line with the LARPD philosophy.
• Oversee day-to-day preschool operations, scheduling, staffing, and safety.
• Provide supervision and training for site staff.
• Assist with hiring, discipline, and administrative duties.
• Maintain strong communication with parents, volunteers, and staff.
• Coordinate recruitment, enrollment, and registration procedures.
• Monitor supplies and manage expenditures for the program.
• Conduct monthly staff meetings and participate in District trainings.
• Support other Youth Services programs as needed.
