Job summary

Five Star Kids Program is seeking a CYP Assistant at the ASYMCA Regional Office in Virginia Beach. The role is 16.00 USD per hour with shifts Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–1:30 PM to support staff lunch breaks and front desk coverage.

Under the CYP Director, you will assist Pre-K teachers during lunch, supervise play and meals, and help with essential duties, records, and basic tech tasks. CPR/First Aid within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma.
• Preferred but not required: six credits in ECE or ECD plus teaching experience.
• CCP or CDA credential (or state equivalent) with one year of teaching experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Pre-K teachers during lunch breaks and supervise children during meals and play.
• Front desk duties: answer phones and greet visitors.
• Maintain attendance records and assist with classroom management and safety.
• Follow state licensing requirements and YMCA policies.
• Support lesson activities and help create a conducive learning environment.
