Job summary

Lutheran Services Florida, Inc. is seeking a Preschool Program Aide to support classroom activities, kitchen tasks, and bus steps as needed.

This entry-level role welcomes individuals who want to positively impact children and families, with opportunities to work across locations and participate in HS/EHS quality assurance efforts. Ideal candidates will assist teachers, help with meals, and follow IEP/IFSP plans under supervision, while maintaining confidentiality and a team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
• Bilingual preferred: English/Spanish or other languages in local area.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom staff with activities, field trips, and supervision.
• Develop materials and activities reflecting children's cultural backgrounds.
• Supervise mealtime and promote nutrition and social skills.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in classroom and kitchen areas.
• Assist with family nights, newsletters, phone calls, and classroom materials.
• Serve as substitute for teacher assistant or teacher as needed.
• Support children with disabilities under supervision, follow IEP/IFSP.
• Sanitize surfaces and store materials; assist in janitorial tasks if needed.
• Assist in food preparation and meal logging per USDA/CACFP.
• Maintain confidentiality of children and families; attend meetings and trainings.
