Key Responsibilities of Lead Teacher:
  1. Curriculum and Instruction:
    • Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
    • Foster a love of learning through creative teaching methods
    • Observe and assess children's development and adapt activities accordingly
  2. Classroom Management:
    • Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
    • Manage routines and transitions smoothly
    • Address behavioral issues with positive guidance
  3. Family Communication:
    • Maintain open communication with parents/guardians about child's progress and activities
    • Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide updates
    • Encourage family involvement
  4. Health and Safety:
    • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of classroom and common areas
    • Follow health and safety guidelines
    • Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities for safety
  5. Professional Development:
    • Participate in ongoing training
    • Stay current with best practices
    • Collaborate with staff to share ideas and strategies

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for child handling
