Key Responsibilities of Lead Teacher:
- Curriculum and Instruction:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Foster a love of learning through creative teaching methods
- Observe and assess children's development and adapt activities accordingly
- Classroom Management:
- Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
- Manage routines and transitions smoothly
- Address behavioral issues with positive guidance
- Family Communication:
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians about child's progress and activities
- Conduct parent-teacher conferences and provide updates
- Encourage family involvement
- Health and Safety:
- Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of classroom and common areas
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities for safety
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing training
- Stay current with best practices
- Collaborate with staff to share ideas and strategies

Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in licensed childcare or preschool preferred
- Completed state-required pre-service training
- Effective communication skills with children, parents, and staff
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for child handling
