Job summary

Volunteers of America–Greater New York is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist for a 10-month preschool program in the Bronx, NY. The PT provides therapy to children in a preschool setting, performs assessments, and supervises PTAs and students.

Responsibilities

• Implements the physical therapy intervention plan directly or in collaboration with others.
• Screens and evaluates children to plan intervention and treatment.
• Documents services for Volunteers of America and third party payers.
• Follows Physical Therapy Code of Ethics and VOA policies.
• Maintains treatment areas and equipment.
• Supervises PTAs, students and other staff as part of service provision.
• Participates in professional development to maintain licensure.
