Job summary

Volunteers of America–Greater New York in the Bronx seeks an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy to preschool-aged children, conduct evaluations, and supervise OT Assistants and students. The role focuses on implementing intervention plans, documenting services, observing ethical standards, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across our Bronx Early Learning Center.

Master’s degree in OT, NY license, NBCOT, and pediatric experience required; strong documentation and supervision

Qualifications

• Master's degree in OT required.
• New York State OT license required.
• NBCOT certification preferred or required as indicated.

Responsibilities

• Implements the occupational therapy intervention plan directly or in collaboration with others.
• Screens and evaluates children to obtain data for planning intervention and treatment planning.
• Documents services as required by Volunteers of America and third-party payers.
• Adheres to the Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and VOA policies.
• Maintains treatment areas and equipment.
• Supervises OT practitioners (OTAs) and students.
• Participates in professional development activities for licensure renewal.
