Job summary

Mapleton Public Schools in Denver, CO, is seeking a Paraprofessional in Early Childhood Education (Preschool) to assist with supervising and instructing students ages 3-5, reinforce positive behavior, implement curriculum, and maintain documentation.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for an AA degree or progress toward ECE credentials; First Aid/CPR training is preferred and may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• AA Degree or have passed State Approved Assessment preferred.
• Applicants currently enrolled or attending classes in Early Childhood Education will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with supervising and instructing students ages 3-5 (preschool) years as needed, reinforcing positive behavior and life skills, implementing curriculum, maintaining documentation, managing student health and/or special needs.
• Support the design and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum; engage students in activities and provide progress information.
• Work with students to support health care needs, including first aid, medications, and health records.
• Participate in required in-services, meetings, and school functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
