Job summary

Sarasota County Schools is seeking a Pre-School/Child Care Aide - ESE to support instructional staff at Taylor Ranch Elementary. Position involves supervising students, maintaining a safe learning environment, and assisting with meals and activities during the 7.5-hour day.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent and Florida childcare credentials; a BA/BS in ECE or related field is preferred. Eligible for Florida teaching certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or FCCPC/CDA/CCAC/ECPC credentials.
• Florida Child Care Credential or related certifications preferred.
• AA/AS in a related field or 60-hour equivalent preferred.
• Bachelor’s in ECE/Child Development and Florida Teaching Certification eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising students as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, healthy learning environment and supervise children during learning activities.
• Plan and provide developmentally appropriate activities.
• Supervise outdoor activities.
• Assist with meals and snacks.
• Assist children with personal hygiene and toileting.
• Communicate with families as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate records and reports.
