Job summary

Sarasota County Schools seeks an ESE Paraprofessional to support students with specialized instructional needs at Cranberry Elementary. The position requires a high school diploma, Para Pro or higher certification, CPI training during probation, and potential ASD certification by period end.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Passing score on the Para Pro Assessment Test or an AA/AS degree or sixty-hour equivalent.
• Must complete verbal and CPI training within the probationary period and may need ASD certification by end of probation.

Responsibilities

• Independently supervise and implement instruction to students as assigned.
• Assist staff with behavioral management and safe learning environment.
• Prepare accurate records, reports and clerical tasks as assigned.
• Assist with development of instructional materials and with personal care tasks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with staff and parents and follow district policies.
