Job summary

North Central Ohio Educational Service Center in Bucyrus/Tiffin area seeks a One-on-One Paraprofessional to support students with disabilities under teacher supervision. The role involves assisting with daily activities, small-group work, and mobility support, while promoting a positive learning environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and an Ohio Aide Permit with ESEA endorsement (or obtain after hire).

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Valid Ohio Aide Permit with ESEA Endorsement (can be obtained after hire).
• Ability to physically manage students with disabilities.
• Self-directed and able to learn required skills for the position.
• Employee shall remain free of alcohol or nonprescribed substances at work.
• Successful completion of required trainings (CPR, First Aid, etc.) or as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with daily classroom activities.
• Perform administrative tasks and disseminate documents to students.
• Work with small groups and/or individual students.
• Reinforce instruction and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assist with student mobility and use of assistive devices.
• Follow prescribed medical plans and assist with personal hygiene as trained.
