Apple Montessori Schools in Metuchen, NJ is seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our Montessori program. The role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, guiding young learners through structured activities and child-centered exploration.

You will plan weekly lessons, assess progress, and communicate with families while maintaining a warm, engaging classroom that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children.

Qualifikationen

• Formalize lesson plans on a weekly basis for the upcoming instructional period.
• Relate instructional objectives to curriculum standards and demonstrate effective decision-making concerning instructional goals.
• Determine students' performance using both informal and formal assessments and observations.
• Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program.
• Use a variety of instructional materials, including contextual, supplemental, teacher-constructed, and teaching bulletin boards, as well as audio-visual aids, hands-on activities, discovery-based learning, and activity-based learning.
• Maintains accurate and timely educational assessments and progress notes for all assigned students.
• Train and supervise a teacher assistant within the classroom.
• Meet with parents throughout the year to discuss the child's progress.
• Attends Open House, Back to School Night, Teacher In-Service days, and all weekly staff meetings and weekly teacher curriculum meetings
