Job summary

The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows in Sparks, Nevada, seeks a part-time ELC Server who will portion and serve meals, stock pantry items, and perform basic food prep in accordance with ServSafe and state guidelines. Shift is typically 8:00 am to 1:30 pm or 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Early Learning Center in Sparks.

You will support safe, healthy meals for members, maintain clean work areas, assist in classrooms as needed, and follow training from Culinary Director

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
• Follow instructions and respond to supervisor direction and take responsibility for own actions.
• Function well in a high-paced environment and maintain composure.

Responsibilities

• Timely and efficiently plating all meals on daily menu created by Culinary Director.
• Receiving, labeling, rotating, and stocking ingredients in storage areas after daily deliveries.
• Washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients like fruits and vegetables.
• Washing dishes and sanitizing kitchen equipment; maintaining clean work areas.
• Assisting in classroom settings and covering teacher breaks as needed.
• Adhering to nutrition and sanitary regulations and reporting equipment issues.
