Job summary

The Learning Experience - Newbury Park, CA is hiring a Lead Teacher for our Two Year Old classroom. You will lead, coach, and mentor co-teachers, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment using the proprietary LEAP Curriculum.

You will guide instruction for infants, toddlers, and/or preschoolers while partnering with families and center leadership. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of professional teaching experience, a High School diploma with 12 ECE credits (associates

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional teaching experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED with 12 ECE college credits required; associate degree in ECE or related field preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred; meet state guidelines for the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor co-teachers in the classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Responsible for overall classroom management, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
• Serve as a role model with a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
• Implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children, adapting to each child’s needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their children’s progress through apps and discussions.
• Support center success by collaborating with staff to meet enrollment and engagement goals.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers to create a dynamic learning environment.

• CPR and First Aide certification preferred
• Must meet state specific guidelines for the role
