Job description

Ready to spark imaginations and help future adventurers take their first big steps? Wonderspring is searching for a Preschool Lead Teacher at our Star 4 center!

This is a full-time, 12-month position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In this role, you will guide your classroom team in implementing lessons inspired by the Creative Curriculum and PA Early Learning Standards. Together, you'll create a cheerful, curiosity-driven environment where every child's confidence, creativity, and wonder can flourish.

What You’ll Do (and Have Fun Doing!)

• Create hands-on lessons that turn ordinary days into colorful adventures.
• Post your weekly lesson plans where parents can see to keep them engaged in their child's learning.
• Monitor the well-being and comfort of children, encouraging exploration and positive behavior.
• Maintain a cheerful, can-do attitude with children, parents, and colleagues, even during messy moments like spills.
• Guide children toward positive behavior using techniques like FLIP IT and Second Step.
• Observe, document, and celebrate each child's progress, sharing victories with parents.
• Keep parents updated and collaborate with them during Family/Teacher Conferences to support each child's growth.

Your Skills & Qualities

• Required: AA/AS in Early Childhood Education or related field with 18 ECE credits.
• At least two years of experience working with preschoolers in an educational setting.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents and guardians.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding center, staff, and family matters.
• Understanding of DHS licensing, Keystone Stars, and accreditation standards.
• Proficient in managing a multicultural classroom environment.
