The Brunswick School is a growing Early Childhood Education company located in Downtown Jersey City. Our successful program is expanding and we are looking for teachers passionate about working with young children to join our amazing team. Our Lead Teachers provide warm, caring environments where children learn and grow while mentoring and supporting Assistant teachers.

• Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of students
• Develop culturally appropriate programs and activities
• Develop activities that introduce math, literacy and science concepts

• Meet the individual needs of each child
• Communicate with parents in a professional, customer-centric, manner

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Field
• Teacher's certification in NJ in Early/Elementary Education required. Bachelors Degree in Education or Related Field will be accepted in conjunction with at least 3 years of experience in education as a lead teacher.
• Associates Degree in Education in combination with at least five years teaching experience in an early childhood center as a lead teacher will also be considered
• Must be willing to work flexible hours
• Able to lift 40 lbs, walk, squat/kneel, sit on floor, see, hear, speak with children to ensure children’s health and safety

The target base compensation for this role will start at $44,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Please note, pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by experience, education, credentials, or other relevant business considerations.
