Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher (Lead) to join our vibrant early education program. As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on children's lives, fostering their social, emotional, and intellectual development. Responsibilities

  1. Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that sparks curiosity and supports children's exploration and discovery.
  2. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.
  3. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to express themselves.
  4. Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  5. Plan and facilitate stimulating activities, including arts and crafts, music and movement, storytelling, and outdoor play, to promote holistic development.
  6. Assess children's progress, document observations, and maintain accurate records to inform individualized instruction and communicate with parents/guardians.
  7. Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to create a cohesive and enriching educational experience.
  8. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians, providing regular updates on their child's development, milestones, and areas of growth.
  9. Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians through open and respectful communication, parent-teacher conferences, and involvement in school events.
  10. Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations and implementing appropriate procedures.
  11. Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in early childhood education to continually enhance teaching methods and strategies.

Qualifications

  1. Passion for early childhood education and a genuine interest in fostering the development of preschool-aged children.
  2. Previous experience as a Preschool Teacher or in a similar role is highly desirable, demonstrating a strong foundation in early childhood education principles.
  3. An Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred, but equivalent experience and certifications will also be considered. (Must be lead qualified in MD)
  4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and fellow educators.
  5. Creativity and resourcefulness in designing and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and lessons.
  6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to ensure a well-structured and engaging classroom environment.
  7. Patience, empathy, and the ability to establish positive and nurturing relationships with children and their families.
  8. First aid and CPR certifications are required, showcasing your commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. You must be willing to renew your certifications and keep them current, as needed.
