Job Description

Preschool Lead Teacher Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 18
  • Meet all state preschool lead teacher requirements
  • Flexible and willing to work within business hours
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) or college degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field
  • Previous experience as a preschool lead teacher required
  • Classroom management skills preferred

Responsibilities of a Preschool Lead Teacher:

  • Adopt the philosophy of Cadence Education and work collaboratively to foster a positive learning environment
  • Document and communicate children's milestones to parents
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula
  • Observe children's interests, ensure safety, and enrich play with language, toys, and activities
  • Model and encourage socially appropriate behavior
  • Plan daily schedules balancing various activities: quiet/active, indoor/outdoor, fine/gross motor skills, etc.
