Primrose School at Tatum is seeking a Food Service Teacher (Chef) to prepare nutritious meals for our preschool children at 4747 E. Dynamite, Phoenix, AZ 85331. You will follow the daily menu, manage food preparation, and support allergy-conscious meals.

You will work in a clean, safe kitchen, attend staff meetings, and help with ordering and inventory while upholding Primrose policies. This role emphasizes wholesome education and a rewarding work atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must meet local childcare and food-service regulatory requirements.
• Ability to relate positively to young children.
• Experience in quantity food preparation preferred.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain allergy awareness and offer suitable substitutions.
• Ensure nut-free kitchen per policy; check labels.
• Follow daily menu prepared with Director.
• Follow portion control standards for meals and snacks.
• Adapt menus as instructed.
• Ensure meals are ready to serve on schedule.
• Assist with ordering and calculation of food quantities.
• Keep kitchen clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Attend staff meetings and school functions.
• Maintain professional appearance per handbook.
• Assist in other duties as directed.
