Job summary

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain AZ DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• First Aid/CPR Certification and AED required within 30 days of employment.
• Spanish language ability is preferred.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification preferred.
• Experience with school-age children and students with severe needs.
• Knowledge of reading intervention instruction is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and student data systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in regular classrooms, ESL, and special education settings.
• Support supervision in playground, lunchroom, bus area and transportation.
• Assist in instructional materials preparation and classroom setup.
• Help students acquire fluency in English and language development.
• Maintain records of student work and report incidents as needed.
• Participate in trainings and maintain confidentiality.
