Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college credits or paraeducator assessment preferred.
• 48 college credits or successful completion of Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment; CDA may be required.
• Must maintain certification in emergency first aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated teacher with instruction and monitor student progress.
• Tutor individuals or small groups and maintain progress records.
• Prepare lessons and administer tests according to guidelines; assist in determining English proficiency.
• Support health and safety practices and supervise labs and meals.
• Participate in 18 hours of professional development annually.
