Wallowa County Education Service District is seeking a Preschool Instructional Assistant Teacher. The role supports the Head Teacher and Elementary staff to promote learning and well-being for each child, in alignment with state and district guidelines.

The position emphasizes a safe classroom, positive guidance, and developmentally appropriate activities, collaborating with families and community partners.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or 72 credit hours, or equivalent quality in math/reading/writing per WorkKeys.
• WorkKeys: Level 3 in Reading, Math and Writing or ORO Safety Set completion.

Responsabilités

• Follows Preschool Promise guidelines and Oregon rules and guidelines.
• Maintain a professional environment and positive relationships with staff and students.
• Supervise students in classroom, lunchroom, playground, and other areas as directed.
• Use positive behavior management and trauma-informed strategies.
• Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and staff.
• Comply with district, state, and federal policies and laws.
• Ensure safety, health, and well-being of students.
