Job summary

Ascend is a multidisciplinary company providing Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapy to children in home, clinic, and preschool settings. We seek an Instructional Assistant to support a preschool classroom under supervision, working in person ~30 hours per week across CA.

Responsibilities include tutoring, behavior support, monitoring, and clerical tasks, with a salary of $22-$28 per hour. Requirements include a high school diploma and experience with children.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior professional experience working with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning activities.
• Assist in managing student behavior using positive reinforcement strategies.
• Auditory and visual monitoring of students in classroom and outdoor activities.
• May perform clerical duties such as filing or duplicating materials.
• Use computer to maintain student records, attendance, and files.
• Maintain student discipline in the absence of the teacher.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and attractive learning environment.
• Perform all related duties as assigned.
