About This Role

This position requires attention to daily planning, and relationship building with individual child(ren). Successful candidate will be open to a collaborative approach and must be organized and professional. Energetic, positive and caring candidates.

Turn to Joy has a great team of caring early care & education professionals. Turn to Joy is a new center located in South Hero for Infants and Toddlers. Turn to Joy 3 and 4 year olds attend Turn to Joy at the Annex, in Grand Isle. It's a beautiful 20-30 minute drive from Burlington. On-going training will be provided. Experience preferred by not necessary.

What You'll Do

• Provide extra assistance to students with special needs
• assist children individually or in small groups
• Supervise and support children in classrooms and on the playground
• Observe students' performance, and record relevant data to assess progress.
• Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Organize and label materials
• Attend meetings, as required.
• Carry out therapeutic regimens, such as behavior modification and personal development programs, under the supervision of special education instructors, psychologists, or speech-language pathologists.
