Qualifications

• Certification as a school nurse or eligibility for emergency nursing certification.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Experience with preschool children (ages 3–5).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing and NJ nursing license.

The Township of Union Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and qualified Preschool Nurse

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Conduct preschool health screenings and follow up on individual child health records.
• Assist in written policies related to health, safety and nutrition.
• Assist parents in locating appropriate medical and health resources as needed.
• Assist in the development of written emergency procedures.
• Provide health-related training to staff, parents and/or children.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work well with others.
• Comfortable with assisting children with bodily accidents.
• Keep accurate records and communicate with staff and parents.
• Good attendance and on time arrival to work.
• Ability to build trusting and caring relationships with parents/guardians.

REQUIRED:

• NJ DOE School Nurse Certification or:
• • Candidates for Emergency School Nurse Certification must have:
  • • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    • Current New Jersey Registered Professional Nurse License
• Current CPR and AED Certification
• Experience working with preschool age children (3-5 years old)

SALARY RANGE:

$70,500 - $100,904 in accordance with the UTEA Agreement based on education and experience.
