Job summary

Qualifications

The Township of Union Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and qualified Preschool Nurse
- Conduct preschool health screenings and follow up on individual child health records.
- Assist in written policies related to health, safety and nutrition.
- Assist parents in locating appropriate medical and health resources as needed.
- Assist in the development of written emergency procedures.
- Provide health-related training to staff, parents and/or children.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work well with others.
- Comfortable with assisting children with bodily accidents.
- Keep accurate records and communicate with staff and parents.
- Good attendance and on time arrival to work.
- Ability to build trusting and caring relationships with parents/guardians.
- NJ DOE School Nurse Certification or:
- Candidates for Emergency School Nurse Certification must have:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Current New Jersey Registered Professional Nurse License
- Current CPR and AED Certification
- Experience working with preschool age children (3-5 years old)
$70,500 - $100,904 in accordance with the UTEA Agreement based on education and experience.
