Job summary

Kamaʻāina Kids seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support multiple preschool campuses across Oʻahu. This full-time role involves hands-on maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring safe, welcoming spaces for children and families.

You will travel between sites using a company vehicle and collaborate with a dedicated facilities team. The ideal candidate brings practical maintenance experience, knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work, and a proven ability to work

Qualifications

• Solid, hands-on experience in general maintenance or facilities work.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong communication skills and dependable work ethic.
• Comfort working around children and safety expectations.
• Clean driving abstract and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and repair classroom furniture, shelving, and storage units.
• Fix doors, cabinets, drawers, and classroom fixtures.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs, including sink and toilet clogs.
• Replace light fixtures, bulbs, and ceiling tiles.
• Patch painting, light drywall repair, and general upkeep.
• Inspect and maintain playground and outdoor equipment.
• Travel between preschool sites using a company vehicle.
• Help ensure all facilities meet safety and cleanliness standards.
