Job summary

Green Acres Baptist Church is seeking a Preschool Event Coordinator to support the Preschool Minister and Ministry Team. You will help organize and promote events, recruit and train volunteers, and ensure smooth on-site operations for Sundays, Wednesdays, VBS, and mission trips.

The role requires coordinating schedules, maintaining readiness with background checks, and collaborating with staff to implement summer programming.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Organize and promote preschool events including Sundays, Wednesdays, VBS, camps, and mission trips.
• Develop plans for enlistment, recruitment, training, retention, and summer programming.
• Coordinate and supervise preschool volunteers and staff; ensure background checks.
• Set up registrations and manage event logistics.
• Maintain calendars and prep for events; assist with volunteer training.

Job Summary:

The Preschool Event Coordinator will assist the Preschool Minister and the Preschool Ministry Team, be passionate about Kids Ministry, and maintains office responsibilities as we work together to see people

changed by the Truth of Jesus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervisor to preschool volunteers.
• Coordinates greeters and volunteers as needed, including special events.
• Administrative duties including, but not limited to, calendaring, planning, and prepping.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in the organization, promotion, implementation, and follow-up of special events including, but not limited to, Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, VBS, Camp, and mission trips.
• Works with Preschool Minister in developing and implementing plans for enlistment, recruitment, training, retention, and coordination of summer programming, including but not limited to, Vacation Bible School.
• Must be available to work a flex schedule encompassing Wednesday nights, Sunday morning services, as well as special ministry events throughout the year.
• Assist with setup and registration of various events.
• Manage Sunday morning Preschool volunteers/staff.
• Ensure all preschool volunteers have approved background checks and have completed volunteer onboarding checklist.
• Plan and prepare alongside Preschool Minister for preschool volunteer training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged period of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up-to 25 pounds at a time.
• The ability to work on site in the Green Acres offices.
