1st Church Preschool in Cheshire, CT is hiring a full-time preschool teacher to support classroom operations. Teachers will staff the 9-week summer program and April school vacation week as needed.

The program is NAEYC-accredited and emphasizes play-based learning, with children aged 2.9 months through 6 years. The staff collaborates closely in a team setting to ensure safety, development, and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education with CT Head Teacher Certification.
• Experience in an early childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Support health and safety of children during school according to licensing.
• Provide positive guidance and discipline per school policy.
• Develop and maintain open relationships with families and staff.
• Assist Head Teacher in curriculum planning and daily programming.
