Job summary

CDS Preschools in Waterville, ME, seeks Educational Technicians to teach and support children with disabilities aged 3–5, preparing them for Kindergarten. Positions are full-time, calendar year with itinerant duties at other sites; local travel is required.

Qualifications

• Current Educational Technician certification required.
• Background checks including criminal history and fingerprinting required.
• Experience with preschool populations preferred, and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise small groups of students in center-based programs.
• Conduct one-on-one or small group instruction with indirect supervision.
• Introduce new learning planned with Preschool Teacher/Case Manager.
• Review and reinforce previously taught material.
• Assist in preparation of classroom materials and manage class activities.
• Model positive language and behavior for children and families.
• Contribute to completion and maintenance of child progress observations.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
