CDS Downeast is seeking an Educational Technician III to teach and support preschoolers with disabilities aged 3-5. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, travel to various locations, and a current Ed Tech certification. A criminal history check is required.

30 hours per week during the academic year at the Machias CDS office. Qualified applicants will have experience with preschool populations and a background in special education methods.

Qualifications

• Authorization as Ed Tech with the Maine Department of Education.
• Three years of postsecondary education or 90 hours in an educational field.
• Successful background and criminal history checks, fingerprinting and references.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to children with developmental disabilities.
• Assist in class management and material preparation.
• Support in speech therapy via tele-practice as needed.
• Work with teachers and an early childhood team to implement goals.
• Travel to multiple locations to deliver services.
