Job summary

Child Development Services (CDS) is seeking Ed Techs to provide instructional support to preschoolers with developmental disabilities at multiple sites in the Bangor area, including Brewer, Dexter, and Lincoln. Positions are 30–35 hours per week during the academic year, with opportunities to work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside teachers and therapists.

Preferred candidates hold an Ed Tech II/III certification and demonstrate experience with preschool populations.

Qualifications

• Authorization as an Ed Tech II or III with the Maine Department of Education.
• Three years of postsecondary education or 90 hours in an educational field.
• Successful background, criminal history check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to children identified with developmental disabilities under the direction of a teacher.
• Assist in tele-practice speech therapy as an e-helper when needed.
• Prepare classroom materials and assist in class management functions.
• Meet with the program supervisor regularly to discuss student progress.
• Deliver services across multiple preschool locations in the Bangor area.
