Job summary

CDS Preschools in Lovell, ME, seeks Educational Technicians to teach and support children ages 3-5 with disabilities, in a new preschool classroom inside New Suncook Elementary School. Full-time, year-round roles with some local travel are available.

Salary ranges for Ed Tech I–III are listed, with comprehensive benefits including Maine state employee medical coverage, dental/vision, life/disability, a 403(b) plan, and a PD stipend. Equal opportunity employer and PSLF eligible.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include obtaining and maintaining authorization as an Educational Technician with the Maine Department of Education
• A successful background, criminal records, fingerprinting and reference check is required

Responsibilities

• Supervise small groups of students in center-based programs
• Conduct one-on-one or small group sessions with indirect professional supervision
• Introduce new learning pre-planned in collaboration with the Preschool Teacher of Children with Disabilities/Case Manager
• Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the teachers
• Assist in preparing classroom materials and managing class operations
• Model positive language and behavior for children and families
• Provide input to completion and maintenance of individual observational child assessments
• Maintain confidentiality of all student and employee information

CDS Preschools is currently looking for brilliant, dedicated Educational Technicians of all levels to teach and support children ages 3-5 with disabilities, to prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond. We have full-time, calendar year positions available at our newest preschool classroom, located inside New Suncook Elementary School in Lovell. Local travel may be required.

Salary Range

Ed Tech I $17.35 - $27.53

Ed Tech II $19.05 - $29.90

Ed Tech III $20.62 - $32.09

Description

The Educational Technician will provide instruction to children identified with developmental disabilities under the direction of a teacher. Experience working with preschool populations and working with a multidisciplinary team is preferred. A current Ed Tech certification and a criminal history check are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Supervise small groups of students in center-based programs.
