Job summary

Discovery Church in Vero Beach, FL is seeking a Preschool Director to build and lead our new preschool with Christ at the center.

You will hire, train, and coach staff, maintain safe child-to-staff ratios, coordinate tours and admissions, and manage enrollment and records.

You will drive spiritual leadership, pursue Florida Early Education Director certification, and ensure licensing/accreditation readiness from day one.

Qualifications

• The role requires leading and developing a faith-centered preschool, with emphasis on staff coaching and safety.
• Experience guiding programs toward accreditation readiness and compliance with licensing standards is preferred.
• Strong collaboration with families and church leadership is essential for the program's success.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, schedule, and coach preschool lead teachers and aides; cultivate healthy staff culture.
• Maintain child safety: ratios, check-in/check-out, drills, licensing compliance.
• Oversee classroom quality: curriculum, routines, clean and engaging rooms.
• Serve as primary contact for families: tours, admissions questions, orientation, conferences.
• Handle enrollment, attendance, staff and student records, background checks, incident reports.
• Provide spiritual leadership for staff, children, and families; lead staff devotionals.
• Work toward Florida Early Education Director certification; CPR/First Aid as required.
