Job summary

Santa Clara Unified School District is seeking candidates for a preschool-related role requiring a Child Development Associate Permit with 12+ ECE units or an equivalent CA CTC-approved credential. The position involves working with preschool-age children, with emphasis on safety, health, and engaging activities.

Ideal candidates will have good health, ability to lift 30 pounds, and be proficient in basic subjects with strong English skills. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

This position requires a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit with 12+ ECE units, Child Development Associate Credential, or equivalent CA CTC-approved training.
Must be in good health and able to lift 30 pounds chest high.
Experience working with preschool children is preferred.
Must be able to walk, squat, bend, and stand, and to supervise/engage children in indoor and outdoor activities.

Responsibilities

You will be working with preschool-age children and must have the physical capacity to deal effectively with this age group.
Knowledge of basic subjects taught; correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary, and strong oral/written communication skills are essential.
