Job Description

Preschool Cook Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must meet all state preschool cook requirements
• At least 1 year of experience in food planning, preparation, and service following USDA guidelines
• Current Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification preferred

Preschool Cook Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in minor meal preparation, organize food and supplies storage, handle dishes, distribute meals to classrooms, and maintain organization and systems in the kitchen
• Perform additional duties such as laundry, cleaning equipment and toys as required
• This position involves lifting
