Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Massachusetts DESE license in School Adjustment Counselor.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Early childhood and urban experience preferred.
• Clinical Fellows considered.
• Knowledge of current education legislation/regulations.
• Ability to work with teachers, support staff, and parents to problem-solve.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with all stakeholders.
• Commitment to increasing growth in academics and social-emotional development.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with preschool itinerant teams (OT, SPED, S/L Pathologist).
• Travel between sites in partnership with city preschools (YMCA, FHS, Busy Bees, Head Start).
• Provide learning experiences guided by MA Frameworks and district standards.
• Differentiate instruction using RTI to support learner growth.
• Implement CPPI mission and district instructional standards.
• Document progress and seek specialist input as needed.
• Complete evaluations to measure progress per professional guidelines.
• Monitor and supervise students with effective classroom management.
• Promote high standards and expectations for achievement.
• Use innovative methods and technologies to boost learning.
• Follow district practices with families and preschool colleagues.
• Suggest activities for families to support home growth, including motor skills.
• Serve as liaison and keep IEPs current for students in CPPI/locations.
