Job summary

South Central Human Resource Agency is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood professional to organize classroom space and activities for children enrolled in Head Start. You will implement developmentally appropriate activities, monitor health and safety, and collaborate with families to support learning.

Responsibilities include daily health checks, lesson planning aligned with IEP goals, home visits, and accurate recordkeeping using ChildPlus and related tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA certification required within one year of hire.
• AA degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Satisfactory physical examination and background checks prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise children in classroom and playground.
• Enter and review documentation into program records.
• Develop lesson plans reflecting individual and group needs.
• Conduct health checks and document outcomes.
• Participate in home visits and parent/teacher conferences.
• Maintain accurate attendance and meals records.
• Ensure health, safety, and cleanliness of classroom environment.
