Job summary

CenClear is seeking a Classroom Assistant Substitute to support preschool children (3-5 years) across CenClear sites. You will ensure a safe, nurturing environment and assist when the lead teacher is unavailable. Travel to multiple centers is required and mileage is reimbursed.

The role emphasizes implementing the Creative Curriculum, maintaining attendance records, and partnering with families. CDA may be required, with training offered by CenClear.

Qualifications

• Must have or be willing to obtain CDA credential.
• Willing to travel to CenClear centers within Centre and Clearfield Counties.
• Experience working with children and families.
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of Early Head Start/Head Start regulations.
• Clearances required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage across CenClear Preschool locations; mileage reimbursed.
• Work 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, during the 187-day calendar.
• Lead classroom in the absence of the lead teacher.
• Develop lesson plans and implement the Creative Curriculum.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Document attendance and behavior incident reports.
• Engage with parents via Class Dojo.
• Participate in trainings and supervision meetings.
